Here we offer you a very nice Austin-Healey 3000 Mark I from the golden era of British cars.

The Austin Healey 3000 was built from 1959 to 1967 by the British Motor Corporation (BMC). It was introduced in March 1959 as successor of the popular 100-Six. The name is derived from the increased six-cylinder engine, which now had a capacity of three litres and delivered an impressive 124 PS (91 kW). A further improvement on the 3000 were the disc brakes on the front axle.

The 3000 won many rallies during its production period. A slightly modified production car became twelfth overall in the 1953 Le Mans 24 Hours. And so it is no surprise that still today the Austin Healey 3000 is an ideal car for classic car rallies.

It is the epitome of the British roadster: small, handy and yet powerful.

In addition, the 3000 Mark I is of a very beautiful and sporty design, including a completely recessed hood. The successor Mark II got a new soft top, but when closed it could not be completely recessed, which disturbs the clear line a bit.

During the two years of construction (1959 to 1961) of the Mark I a total of 13,650 units were built. Available were a pure two-seater (BN7) and a variant with two small rear seats, the BT7.

The BT7 offered by us was delivered to the USA in 1960. Later it was exported to Germany and was owned by a Munich collector. From this collector the current owner bought the car 21 years ago. The car was always well maintained and driven regularly. Only in the last two years has it been driven less, and for this very reason the car is now being sold.

The car is available for an inspection by appointment only in 33415 Verl, Germany. We are happy to show you the car and the documents and have a lift available as well.
